I spent 3 months working with Au Pair World to find a host family. After 6-8 Skype sessions/phone calls with one family, Au Pair World placed me with that family in Ireland.
From the day I arrived the family treated me like Cinderella. They were mean, discriminating and never paid me. Further, the family took items from me--which I am still trying to get back.
Uwe Regenbogen (the founder and owner of Au Pair World) did nothing to help me mediate with the family or to help me get reimbursed and get my items retuned.
Be very careful working with Au Pair World. They offer no support to Au Pairs--and look the other way if there are any problems or issues that arise between the family and the Au Pair!
In summary, I would not recommend Au Pair World to a friend.
