NewAupair.com is one of five websites in this category offering au pair listings.  Families, au pairs and nannies sign up for free and can access the above features.  Family members can upgrade their membership for added features.  If you pay for  the 30 day package you can e-mail the au pairs directly.  For an additional $65 you also have access to advice and priority e-mail response for 30 days.  With a free membership registration package, it is difficult to find information about cost and contact details for the site.  Always check terms and conditions before paying any money.  However, it is free to add candidates to your favorites list, and this will register an automatic interest with the profile of the au pair. 

For parents, to search for an au pair is simple.  Click the tab "find au pair" and choose from a list of searches including "quick search", "au pair wizard", "advanced search" and search by country or membership number.  The interface is user-friendly and there are not too many adverts obscuring information.  The au pair wizard automatically matches au pairs to your profile each week and can be viewed online by clicking "au pair wizard."  You can also use the "browse" feature which gives you the option of choosing a country from a large list and having a look around to get an  idea of the types of profiles available.  Most profiles have a photo and look appealing with plenty of information.  You can instantly see the age of the au pair, languages spoken, religion and if they smoke.  The profiles look friendly and give you plenty of choice.  There are currently 17000 au pairs listed at the time of writing and because the listings are of good quality, this means you have a better chance of finding your au pair.  The site also has an appealing look for the au pairs and nannies to use so this helps attract plenty of candidates.  The price is quite high for this website, starting at $64.95 for 30 days.  The number of candidates available is good though and will allow for lots of searching and contacting.

As always, security is paramount when using the internet and above all when choosing childcare.  The advice given by NewAupair.com is never to send money for visas, documents or air fare.  Also watch out for candidates not being truthful about where they come from.  NewAupair.com advises to be wary of any possible connections with Cameroon or Nigeria as these are countries where scams commonly originate.  NewAupair.com claims that 99.9% of the nannies and au pairs using their website are genuine but the main type of abuse to watch out for is of a financial nature.  Security measures include only registered members being able to see your profile information and no one can see your contact details.  Any suspicions or problems can be passed on through the enquiry form which can also be accessed by clicking under the "family" tab then "stay safe" and going through to page two.
